Blu Montez Limited is an indigenous oil and gas security and infrastructure protection company. We work from Warri and Lagos on the assets, corridors and waterways that carry Nigeria’s energy production — and among the communities that live alongside them.
Why we exist
Nigeria does not have a shortage of security companies. It has a shortage of security companies that can hold a technology deployment, a field operation and a community relationship in the same hand, and be accountable for the join.
What usually happens instead is that an operator buys cameras from one company, guards from another, and runs community relations out of a department that never speaks to either. Each part performs adequately. The arrangement as a whole leaks.
Blu Montez was established to be the party that owns the whole chain — detection through to response through to record — and can be held to it.
Indigenous by design, not by label
Local content is often treated as a box to tick. We think it is an operational advantage, and a specific one: terrain knowledge that cannot be briefed into someone, relationships with community leadership that take years rather than weeks to build, and the simple ability to put a person physically at an incident within a useful timeframe.
An operation run from several states away can be well managed and still be structurally slow. Proximity is not sentiment. It is response time.

What we hold to
Values, stated plainly.
Values are worth writing down only if they would sometimes cost you something. These occasionally do.
Trust
Access to a client's assets and to a community's confidence is granted, not owed. Both are lost the same way.
Ethics
What we report is what happened. We would rather hand over an uncomfortable finding than a comfortable one.
Competence
People are trained for the post they hold. We do not put an officer somewhere they are not ready to be.
Teamwork
Technology, field personnel, command staff and community contacts are one team, or they are a set of gaps.
Development
Continuous training and manpower development — an operation is only ever as good as its newest officer.
Due diligence
Questions to ask any security provider.
Including us. If a provider cannot answer these clearly, that is information — and it is cheaper to discover it now than after an incident.
We would rather be measured against a real standard than win work from a buyer who did not know what to ask.
- Can I see your CAC registration and your guard-services licensing?
- Who exactly will be accountable for my account, and what have they done before?
- What insurance do you carry, and to what limit?
- How are your officers vetted, and how often are they rotated?
- Show me a sample incident report. Is it specific enough to act on?
- Who owns the operational data and footage from my site?
- What happens on the day you and I disagree about what an incident was?
